Arc Raiders Quest Help: Broken Monument at U4GM

luissuraez798 7 Days+ 2

Broken Monument punishes impatience more than weak aim. You can clear the Scrap Yard, grab two quest items, and still lose the entire run because the third pickup sits in Raider Camp with your extraction plan unfinished. Before loading in, check your ARC Raiders Items situation, bring a loadout you can afford to lose, and remember that this mission is built around one successful round, not three convenient trips.

What You Actually Need to Bring Home

Tian Wen gives Broken Monument after What We Left Behind, sending you to the southern Scrap Yard in Dam Battlegrounds. The route covers three landmarks: damaged vehicles for the First Wave Compass, cylindrical containers for the First Wave Video Tape, and Raider Camp for the Old Field Rations. All three must be collected during the same round, then carried through extraction before you can hand them over.

1. Reach the hallowed First Wave battleground near the Scrap Yard.
2. Search the wrecked vehicles for the compass.
3. Check the cylindrical containers for the video tape.
4. Enter Raider Camp only after checking your exit route.
5. Confirm all three items are in your inventory before extracting.

Read the Area by Landmarks, Not Objective Text

The objective descriptions are useful, but they don't tell you how visually messy the Scrap Yard can feel during a live raid. Start with the southern approach and treat each landmark as its own search box. Around the vehicles, scan the ground and wreck edges; near the containers, check their bases and adjacent cover rather than staring only at the biggest object. From what I've seen, players lose more time searching every scrap pile than they do fighting their way through the area.

Okay, Let's Talk About Order

The southern Scrap Yard route is the cleanest default: compass first, tape second, rations last. That order creates a forward line and leaves the most pressured location until you know the first two objectives are done. Still, don't follow it blindly. A busy camp, nearby machine activity, or an awkward spawn can make the reverse order smarter. The real rule is simple: don't cross the same exposed ground twice just because a guide told you to use one fixed route.

The Tip Most Players Miss

Make your extraction decision before picking up the rations, not after. Once the last item is secured, players often sprint on instinct, cut through open ground, or stop to chase extra loot because the run suddenly feels profitable. Don't turn a completed objective into a greedy detour. Clear your inventory beforehand, keep enough room for the quest items, and treat the camp pickup as the moment to leave rather than the moment to start improvising.

Why the Quest Still Fits Update 1.42.0

Update 1.42.0 added the second Phantom Targets project, expanded event content, introduced the Tick Hunter Set, and changed the timing of regional map conditions. None of that changes Broken Monument's item locations or reward package of Arpeggio I, Compensator II, and 80 Medium Ammo. It does change the feel of a familiar run, since event activity and regional conditions can alter how comfortable the Scrap Yard seems. I could be wrong but, that shifting pressure is why this old Tian Wen mission still teaches Arc Raiders better than a simple checklist does.

Broken Monument is a small story about the First Wave, but its practical lesson is bigger: loot only matters once you get it home. Search the vehicles, containers, and camp with purpose, extract before greed takes over, then return the recovered history to Tian Wen. The rewards won't define your endgame build, though the experience can sharpen your judgment before you spend resources on buy ARC Raiders Weapons.
